Morag spent her professional career as a lawyer. She was a partner for fourteen years with McGrigors (now part of Pinsent Masons) specialising in corporate law. She then spent seven years as General Counsel with Forth Ports PLC a FTSE 250 company. In 2012 she began to build a portfolio of non-executive directorships across a broad range of private, public and third sector organisations.. Her previous roles include Chair of Heriot-Watt University, Vice-Chair of Social Investment Scotland and she was a trustee of FARE Scotland. She is currently also Chair of Scottish Event Campus Limited and Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited and a trustee of the LawScot Foundation.
