£1,429,500 was awarded to 38 organisations in the latest awards to be made under our new strategy which launched at the end of September 2020. Our award announcements will now be monthly and anyone who would like to receive these directly to their inbox can do so by signing up to our mailing list.
If you would like to find out more about our funds, please click here. Currently, our funding is aimed at constituted community groups and registered charities who are working to alleviate poverty and trauma in Scotland, and who have an annual income of under £2 million. We have five funds under our new strategy: Wee Grants, Small Grants, Large Grants, Community Buildings and Community Vehicles. Each of these funds is designed to be clear, transparent and accessible to meet the needs of those we fund and potential applicants, and make sure our funding is targeted.
In addition to these awards, we are also delighted to share details of funds that were distributed to provide financial support for individuals and families facing particularly challenging circumstances over winter, largely as a consequence of the COVID pandemic. Full details below.
Each of the organisations below demonstrated in their application how their work is contributing to the alleviation of poverty and trauma in Scotland. To bring this to life, we have included how the organisation's work relates to at least one our three themes; financial wellbeing, emotional wellbeing and relationships and educational and work pathways.

- £50,000 to One Parent Families Scotland which extended its Christmas appeal to become the Single Parent Families Urgent Essentials Fund.
- £30,000 to Simon Community Scotland to enable financial support for people affected by the sharp end of homelessness.
- £20,000 to Positive Action in Housing – to cover crisis grants and destitution support, helping refugees and migrants in Glasgow to rebuild their lives.
- £10,000 to the Hardship Fund run by Shelter Scotland.
