We are delighted to announce our funding recipients from November 2023. 61 organisations received over £1.6M to support their work to alleviate poverty and trauma across Scotland.

£1,687,100 was awarded to 61 organisations in November 2023, with a success rate of 79%. If you would like to receive our award announcements directly to your inbox, please sign up to our mailing list.

Currently, our funding is aimed at constituted community groups and registered charities who are working to alleviate poverty and trauma in Scotland, and who have an annual income of under £2 million. We have four funds under our strategy: Wee Grants, Small Grants, Large Grants, and Community Vehicles. Each of these funds is designed to be clear, transparent and accessible to meet the needs of those we fund and potential applicants, and make sure our funding is targeted. If you would like to find out more about our funds, please click here.

Each of the organisations below demonstrated in their application how their work is contributing to the alleviation of poverty and trauma in Scotland.

We have awarded £12,763,105 to 392 organisations since the beginning of this financial year. View a full list of our awards here.

Award Focus - Inspired Community Enterprise Trust

Inspired Community Enterprise Trust (ICET) creates employability, training, and wider citizenship opportunities for young people with additional support needs (ASN).

"Our mission at ICET is to work for local change and better employment outcomes for young people with ASN. As a progressive provider of rights-based
development, we play an active leadership role supporting statutory partners to understand how our communities can become fairer places to live and work.

We work actively with young people to make change happen, and to advocate for more inclusive systems to support individuals, families, schools and communities. Every young person with ASN has the right to be heard, to be understood, and to be fairly included. Our place and way of work are designed on these principles of fairness, dignity and respect." Craig McEwen, Chief Operating Officer.

Our team says...  "Through our Work Pathways theme, we aim to ensure work can be a better route out of poverty by supporting key population groups who are underrepresented in the labour market. We know that employment opportunities and outcomes for people with additional support needs are much lower in comparison to national employment rates.  ICET aims to address this employment gap in Dumfries and Galloway, by creating an environment where each individual is given the time and support to overcome barriers, with tailored one-to-one training and practical support. ICET's aims are strongly aligned with our work pathways theme, and we are delighted to be supporting their work over the next three years." Gillian Morton, Funding Officer
