Award Listings, News February 2025

£970,800 awarded to 71 organisations across Scotland in December and January

We are delighted to announce our latest funding recipients, with 71 organisations awarded £970,800 to support their work to prevent and reduce poverty and trauma across Scotland.

The opening of our Community Spaces Grants in February 2025 marks the end of our phased return to Our Funds, following our pause last year.

We will continue to embed cycles of learning and continuous improvement across our work, including how we consider applications to our Nurturing Relationships funding theme, which we will review after communicating decisions on applications made to our Open Call, which closed last month.  We will always aim to do so in a way which is fair and transparent, in keeping with the IVAR Open and Trusting principles for flexible funding.

£970,800 was awarded to 71 organisations in December 2024 and January 2025, with a success rate of 53%.

Each of the organisations below demonstrated in their application how their work is contributing to the alleviation of poverty and trauma in Scotland.

Download our report here.

The most common decline reason was that the applicant’s request was not clearly linked to reducing or preventing poverty and trauma for the people they support, in line with our funding themes and priorities. 64% of unsuccessful applications were declined for this reason. We are interested in supporting organisations whose work clearly addresses our funding themes (and priorities), which we detail within the applicant guidance for each of our Funds. For some more examples of the types of work we have supported recently, please see our latest awards here.

The second most common reason was that the applicant applied for ineligible costs. 22% of unsuccessful applications were declined for this reason. We list costs and activities which we cannot support in the applicant guidance for each of our Funds and would encourage organisations to refer to this when considering applying.

If you have any questions about applying for Our Funds, please contact us on 0141 353 4321 or funding@therobertsontrust.org.uk.
